Phil has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry in various roles such as Health & Safety Management, Contract Management, Planning, Maintenance and facilities management and Project Management and Head of Estates along with Director of Operations and Facilities within a utility company and Football league club.

Having commenced his working career as an Apprentice Joiner completing various City and Guilds courses over the 5-year phil went on to Graduate with a BSc (hons) Degree in Construction Management from Bolton University, and also holds both NEBOSH General and Construction Certificates along with an NVQ level 4 in spectator safety.

Phil has experience in both the public and private sector, and has an understanding of the relationships between the various parties involved in delivering a successful project having worked for both contractor and also the client side using this experience to support all members of a project team.

Phil has significant knowledge of processes and stakeholder management from his experience in working with and for clients such as Royal Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, Wyre Borough Council, Blackpool Council, Blackpool Teaching Hospitals, Coastal Housing, Atlas BFWML and Whitbread.

Phil was Maintenance Manager when Blackpool Council outsourced its services and created a subsidiary company Blackpool Coastal Housing and led on the Process engineering changes in order to achieve two star statues with excellent prospects in line with the HQN ratings. As Head of Estates at Blackpool Victoria Hospital when Atlas BFWML ltd was formed Phil played a lead role in the transfer of Estates services. In 2013 his Estates team won Department of the Year award at the Hospitals annual awards event.

In his career Phil has delivered a number of successful schemes for clients such as Whitbread, Pizza Hut, Premier inn, Revolution, MOD, Schools and also in Healthcare settings. Whilst a Project Manager at Blackpool Phil successfully managed the refurbishment of a £2.5m new Accident and Emergency department, managed a new mortuary building, a number of minor schemes to support the governments single sex agenda for healthcare facilities and oversaw the relocation of medical gas storage and supplies.

Phil has used his past roles and experience to help develop key working relationships with senior members of staff whichever organisation he has been working with or for and used these skills to bring about change and improvements.
