• Day PM have a significant amount of experience in working within the Healthcare sector. ​

• We have delivered many schemes across the NHS from Theatres, Wards, MRI & CT scanners.

Client’s requirements

• The client required to increase the theatre activity to reduce waiting times for treatment.​
• The client required 2 additional theatres to compliment the existing 6 already on-site during phase 1.​
• Updated modern Theatres for multi-use operations, along with first stage recovery bays, ancillary spaces such as dirty and clean utility rooms, staff changing and rest rooms with sufficient storage to manage all 4 theatres.​
• Phase 2 will see the Introduction of 2 additional theatres to compliment phase 1.

Our Contribution

• Phase 1 was completed inside 13 months from design to the first operation.​
• Increased theatres activity has seen an additional 3000 operations completed since Phase 1 was completed.​
• Phase 2 will provide a further increase in theatre activity as well as additional recovery and ancillary areas, additional recovery bays. ​
• Proactively managing the design team and liaising closely with the clinical team and stakeholders.​
• Key control mechanisms are put in place for this project such as Change Control Forms, Request for Information, Monthly Reporting, and regular site visits.​
• Liaise with IPC for approvals on hoardings, organise permits for isolation with estates.​
• Chair and minute monthly progress meetings.​
• Take photographic evidence of works incl. fire stopping.​
• Organise site visits with relevant trust AP / AE’s.
